DARTMOUTH — Stephanie Matson, 42, of Dartmouth, MA, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 5th of complications from Leukemia. She was the proud owner of Angali Yoga and Wellness in New Bedford and had also been a yoga teacher at several locations around the Southcoast.

Stephanie was born in Boston, MA to John and Julienne Matson of Everett. She attended Pope John XXIII High School, Framingham State College where she received her Bachelor degree in Psychology, and Northeastern University where she received her Masters degree in College Student Development and Counseling.

Stephanie moved to Dartmouth in 2006 with her husband Jamie Jacquart, and their two children, Alexander, 9, and Nathaniel, 7. She volunteered at Smith Mills Kindergarten and Nursery School and at Quinn Elementary School.

While the last 20 months of her life were consumed by Leukemia, she led a very full life up to that point. She was an avid reader, a food lover, a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed.

She leaves her husband, two children, her parents now living in Center Ossipee, NH, and her sister, Andrea Medeiros and her husband Richard, of Everett, MA, and their children.

A memorial gathering will be planned at a later time to allow out of state friends and family to attend.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute of Boston in her name.

Arrangements are by the Donaghy Funeral Home, 465 County Street, New Bedford. For memorial register go to www.hathawayfunerals.com.
