EL PASO — After more than 30 years teaching at the University of Texas at El Paso, clinical psychologist Guido A. Barrientos passed away last week at his home, according to relatives. 

A memorial service was planned at 6:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home, located at 128 N. Resler. 

Barrientos' family requested that donations be made to the Psychology Program fund at UTEP in his honor in lieu of flowers. He leaves behind a wife and two children. 

UTEP confirmed Barrientos was a professor at the university from 1963 to 1998.
