The one good reward you get from being truly honest about yourself is self-awareness. That said, being aware of how your brain works, such as how the superior cortical midline activity works in the anterior cingulate of your brain could lead to tremendous wonders to your career. Knowing how your brain works can unleash skills unused and untapped before. Knowing the brain gets you to where you should be: on top of the world, like that song by Imagine Dragons.

Generations have passed and we still know little about how our brains can get us to behave the way we are, and give us the life we want, and the achievement and winning personality we think we deserve. There’s a certain evolutionary element to why the brain works the way it is – the way the brain makes you feel regret, envy and the need for revenge, disbelief and desperation. Or is that the brain that makes us not appreciate it at all? This dilemma calls for a Darren Aronosky’s expertise, it seems.

But you don’t need knowledge in metaphysics and epistemology to understand that the brains of other people function better than yours. Brains of winners, enthusiasts, celebrated musicians, leaders, people of influence seem to contain more dopamine and stamina than the rest of us. This inequality in how the brain helps us achieve our goals can be improved, though, by altering the wirings of your brain by constant focus, practice and meditation.
