Californian life is treating 26-year-old songstress Annabel Fay, daughter of richer lister Sir Michael Fay, very well. She has recently finished her studies at a US culinary school.

Now Fay has ditched the whites and the chef hat and replaced them with what she calls mature student clothes.

She has started her first semester of a psychology degree at Santa Monica College.
"I'm loving LA," she told Spy.

"It takes a while to get to know this town well, so after being here over a year now, I finally feel like I'm getting the hang of things."

Music remains close to the heart of the singer, who has enjoyed chart success with singles including Lovin You Baby, Shake It Off, Strong, River and Show Me the Right Way.

"I've joined the [college]choir, which is surprisingly rather intense," she said.

"Music has to be in my life one way or another so I always make sure I have that creative outlet, no matter what I'm doing or where I am in the world."
