PIERRE (AP) — An administrator from a Tennessee university has been named dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at South Dakota State University.

Dennis R. Papini will serve as dean pending final approval by the South Dakota Board of Regents.

Papini comes to SDSU from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, where he chaired the Psychology Department.

Papini replaces Jerry Jorgensen, who left SDSU last year after 11 years as dean of arts and sciences.
