Psychological counselling

PUNJAB University Centre for Clinical Psychology has taken an initiative of providing counselling services to the families of the schoolchildren died in traumatic incident of van fire in Gujrat.

 

This step has been taken by PU Centre for Clinical Psychology Director Prof Dr Rukhsana Kausar with the cooperation of Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, the university counselor, teachers of the Centre and MS students.

 

According to a press release here on Monday, a team of clinical psychologists expressed their sorrow to the grieving parents, siblings and other family members of the victim children and provided them with awareness about psychological implications and its management.

 

They said counseling at earlier stage was important to help the families cope with the trauma and enable them to function effectively.

 

Workers pledge: The workers of Wapda and other power sector enterprises expressed gratitude over winning fifth time referendum and pledged to make efforts to end outages in the country. Speaking on the occasion, central leader of All Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Workers Union said this success in referendum symbolised the success of the community. —Correspondent
