Postdoctoral Fellow – The Conversation Job Board

Salary: A$85K - A$91K per year (plus 17% employer superannuation and leave loading)

We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for 3 years to work within the School of Psychology at the University of New South Wales as part of the ARC Linkage project: The emotional psychology of blood donors: understanding and using the affective key to donor return. The research will be carried out in collaboration with Associate Professor Barbara Masser (University of Queensland) and researchers and staff at the Australian Red Cross Blood Service.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to carry out empirical research to disseminate research findings in top-ranking journals. They should have experience in research design (surveys or experiments) and statistical analysis. They should have exceptional communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and a demonstrated capacity to work effectively within a team, as well as independently. The ideal candidate will also have evidence of successfully managing a large-scale research project.

Applicants should hold a PhD in Psychology, Public Health, or a related discipline (or be close to completion of PhD).

This is a full time, fixed term position appointable at Level A available for 3 years from the date of commencement.
