Dr. Christine Profito

BRADENTON – Dr. Christine Profito, specializing in Pediatric Psychology and Eating Disorders has joined Carter Psychology Center.  Dr. Profito is a Licensed Psychologist who provides therapy for all ages as well as evaluations for ADHD, learning disabilities, Autism, personality mood disorders, and general intelligence/achievement.

Thee only psychologist in the Tampa Bay region who is certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Dr. Profito brings specialty training in behavior interventions for Autism Spectrum children.

Dr. Profito emphasizes the importance of family involvement in her therapy, specifically when working with minors, and works with patients to create a customized treatment plan. 

Dr. Profito began her training at Louisiana State University, where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Psychology. She then attended George Washington University for her Masters and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology, specializing in children/adolescents and assessments.

Before joining Carter Psychology Center, Dr. Profito completed her APA accredited internship at Pine Grove Behavior Health and Addiction Services. Her post-doctoral training focused on children, adolescents and families struggling with disruptive behavior, ADHD, mood disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
