Mr. and Mrs. William McBride, Jr. of Harlingen, Texas are pleased to announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Sara Elizabeth, to Nicholas Lawrence Bowman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence H. Bowman, of Loganville, Georgia. Sara is the granddaughter of the late William A. McBride Sr. and Dorothy McBride also of Harlingen, Texas.
The bride to be graduated from Rice University in Houston with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta with a Master of Science in Psychology. She will receive her Ph.D. in Psychology from the Georgia Institute of Technology in May 2014 and plans to pursue teaching at the college level.
The groom graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Computational Media. He works as a software developer for Bridgeline Digital and was recently promoted to direct the Research and Development team for their eCommerce application. An October wedding is planned.
