LETU ANNOUNCES 2012 HERITAGE SCHOLARS

LeTourneau University has named the 10 winners of its most prestigious scholarships, providing each recipient full tuition over four years. A total of 97 students competed, most of whom were valedictorians at their high schools, for one of 10 Heritage Scholarships. The invitation-only competition included three days of group sessions, personal interviews and an essay.


Winners include the following:
 

• Aaron Dalton of Santa Barbara, Calif., who attends San Marcos High School and plans to major in aviation management;
 

• Jacob Holm of Parker, Colo., who attends Chaparral High School and plans to major in engineering;
 

• Justin Ito of Yokohama, Japan, who attends Pearl Vineyard International Christian School and plans to major in business management;
 

• Christopher Lower of Nairobi, Kenya who attends Rosslyn Academy and plans to major in computer science;


• Christine Lozano of Imperial, Calif., a homeschooled student who plans to major in engineering;


• Hannah McIlheran of Leander, Texas, a homeschooled student who plans to major in engineering;
 

• Hannah Richter of Cypress, Texas, who attends Cypress Woods High School and plans to major in biomedical engineering;
 

• Matthew Sturm of Kijabe, Kenya, who attends Rift Valley Academy and plans to major in biology.


• Savannah Wessies of San Antonio, Texas, who attends Robert G. Cole High School and plans to major in engineering;
 

• Garrick Worrell of Fair Oaks, Calif., a homeschooled student who plans to major in engineering;
