Education Portal Academy launched with 103 video lessons for Psychology 101. Recently, college-level lessons in biology, calculus, algebra, English literature and Western civilization were added to its offerings. There are now more than 200 lessons on Education Portal Academy and many more lessons and subjects are in development.

Expert instructors have created these original and fun video lessons and assessments. Lessons are highly modular and designed for independent learners to self-navigate through the course and learn just what they need. Each course is designed to help students pass the College Board's College-Level Examination Program, or CLEP exam, and earn the lowest-cost college credit. Most CLEP exams award credit for a semester-course and cost just $77 - much cheaper than the $600 the College Board says a typical college course costs.

Education Portal Academy video lessons are already being used as supplemental materials for educators, independent learners and traditional students. Ivette Alvarez, a teacher at St. Brendan High School, has been using 2-3 psychology videos for each unit she covers. "They are a nice intro to the chapter. I love that the videos are less than ten minutes long."

"Education Portal Academy is taking free education to another level. It's the first ever free resource geared towards earning credit," said Education-Portal.com President Ben Wilson. "This is only the beginning for Education Portal Academy. We're creating new courses at a relentless pace."
