Eastern introduces doctorate of clinical psychology

Sept. 24

EKU Police and the Richmond Fire Department responded to the Powell Building at 6:11 p.m. after the fire alarm activated. The responding officer found a pull station that had been falsely activated. An estimated 150 people were evacuated and it is unknown who pulled the fire alarm.

Sept. 22

Two students reported a group of three black males threatened them in the Van Hoose parking lot.

Sept. 21

An officer cited Christopher Lusk, 25, from Richmond, for alcohol intoxication after Lusk walked into oncoming traffic, waved his arms, was unsteady on his feet and had slurred speech. Lusk was taken to the Madison County Detention Center.

EKU Police responded to Sullivan Hall after a disturbance was reported in the lobby. James McPheron, 18, from Brodhead, punched a window on the front door of the building, resulting in the glass cracking. He also threatened the front desk worker when McPherson entered the building. An officer spoke with McPheron and noticed he had a strong odor of alcohol, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet. McPheron was cited for alcohol intoxication, terroristic threatening and criminal mischief. EKU Police also issued McPheron a trespass warning. He was transported to Baptist Health then to the Madison County Detention Center.

Jaylin Jones, 18, from Maysville was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia; and Taymarcus Taylor, 18, from Lexington, was cited for possession of marijuana in the New Residence Hall parking lot at 11:53 p.m.

Sept. 19

Chelsea Weaver, 18, from Caneyville, reported her iPhone 4 was missing after a fire alarm evacuation at 4:30 a.m. in Keene Hall.

Two female students reported receiving harassing phone calls to EKU Police.

Sept. 18
A staff worker reported someone opened the locked pool entrance inside the Weaver Building with a painter’s knife.

Sept. 17

A student reported $2 in change from her vehicle parked in the Commonwealth Lot was taken. The glove box was also opened from inside the vehicle.
