Dr. Joyce Brothers dies at the age of 85Dr. Joyce Brothers breath his last on Monday, he was 85 years old. Back in 1955, answering correctly on the subject of Boxing, he won the top prize on the TV game show `The $64,000 Question". After winning the show, Brothers' life and career in the media skyrocketed. For as many as six decades he offered advice and his expertise featuring on innumerable talk shows. Her secondary career which was much more glamorous and lucrative was acting in various TV shows and films like, `Love, American Syle', `The Larry Sanders Show', `The  Love Boat', `Baywatch', `Exit to Eden', `The Munsters Today', `The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour', `Dear God', the 1993 episode on Fox's `The Simpsons',  `Last Exit to Springfield' and `The Howard Stern Show'.

For her mountain of work in the entertainment industry, she was nominated for a TV Land Award in 2003 for the most memorable female guest star in a comedy series. She also gave a memorable role playing herself in an episode of `Happy Days' in 1984.

Not only in the field of entertainment but her contributions in the field of psychology are worth noting. A Ph. D., Dr. Joyce helped lessening the stigma around mental illness and sexual distresses.
