Dr. Gary Grady has received a “Citation of Commendation” from Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin for his teaching at Connors State College.

Grady is instructor of psychology at Connors and the commendation was given in recognition for being named “Outstanding Educator” by the Muskogee Education Consortium and “Educator of the Year” by the Connors faculty last year. The award was presented by Connors’ President Dr. Tim Faltyn at the faculty meeting at the beginning of this semester.

The commendation was signed by Fallin, State Rep. George Faught, R-Muskogee, State Rep. Jerry McPeak, D-Muskogee, and State Sen. Earl Garrison, D-Muskogee.

In addition, Grady spoke in London last summer at the annual conference of the British Association for the Teaching of Psychology and is scheduled to speak at the annual conference of the Southwestern Psychological Association in Oklahoma City in April. Both invitations to speak were extended to him so he could share some of the techniques and activities he uses in his psychology classes.
