SOUTH BEND

1st Source Bank announces the promotion of Mark Dougherty to assistant vice president. He is an internal auditor at the bank and will continue in this role.

Dougherty received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Purdue University and completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

John Slott has been named digital content editor at the South Bend Tribune.

Slott has been involved in producing and running Tribune websites for several years.

He is in charge of news content on southbendtribune.com and all other digital sites, and will be involved in developing new digital products.

Jennifer Ellis has been named iNthebend.com editor. Ellis was a driving force behind development of the iNthebend.com print section and digital site this year. She plans and edits content for those products in conjunction with Andy Hughes, The Tribune's arts and entertainment editor.

Richard F. Nugent Jr. recently was hired as director of human resources and college counsel at Saint Mary's College.

Nugent has 16 years of human resources experience in industry, including nine years with Miles Laboratories/Bayer in Elkhart; six years in human resources at the University of Notre Dame; and 11 years of law firm experience at May Oberfell Lorber in Mishawaka. He also has served as outside counsel to Saint Mary's College.

Nugent earned a bachelor's degree at Notre Dame in 1977 and a law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law in 1980.

Thomas R. Cohen, a partner in the South Bend office of Hunt Suedhoff Kalamaros LLP, was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in 2013 Best Lawyers of America listing, in the specialty of Worker's Compensation Law - Employers.

MISHAWAKA

Family Children's Center Counseling and Development Services announces the promotion of Roxanne Ultz to director of outpatient services. She will direct the clinical counseling operations of the agency.

Ultz holds a master's degree from Western Michigan University.

ELKHART

Dicor Corp.'s aftermarket manager, Larry Lebryk, has been named director of marketing for the corporation. He has served the company in aftermarket planning and execution along with other marketing and show activities as needed.

Thor Motor Coach has appointed Nicole Short to the position of director of customer service. Her responsibilities will include the day-to-day activities of both customer care and parts fulfillment departments.

1st Source Bank announces the promotion of Jason Hessler to vice president and manager of its Elkhart Personal Asset Management Group office. Hessler has been with 1st Source for five years, assisting clients as a personal trust administrator.

Hessler graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in financial planning and a law degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Indianapolis. He is a certified financial planner.

ST. JOSEPH

Lakeland Healthcare announces the addition of several physicians to its staff:

Psychologist Dr. Jamie Birris, is seeing patients at Lakeland Cancer Specialists, located within the Marie Yeager Cancer Center. She has a range of training and experience helping individuals cope with the psychological impact of cancer. Her responsibilities included guiding cancer and organ transplant patients through each phase of their illness, assessments, consultations, support services and treatment.

Birris earned both her master's degree and a doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Dr. Thomas Birris, a gastroenterologist, is seeing patients at Great Lakes Gastroenterology. He earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Fellowship, and his Internal Medicine Residency at Loyola University and Hines Veterans Affairs Medical Centers in Chicago.

Dr. Ryan Daily, a radiologist, is board-certified and is Lakeland's third fellowship-trained interventional radiologist. Daily treats patients at the newly established Interventional Radiology Clinic located within Lakeland Regional Medical Center as well as patients at the Niles and St. Joseph hospitals.

He completed his Interventional Radiology Fellowship at the University of Florida in Jacksonville. He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College
