Loving Healing Press will be exhibiting its latest titles on psychology and culture at the 2013 Winter Roundtable Conference February 15^thand 16^th, 2013, presented at the Teacher`s College of Columbia University in New York, NY.

The Winter Roundtable is the longest running continuing professional education program in the United States devoted solely to cultural issues in psychology and education. The Winter Roundtable will continue its tradition of bringing together scholars, practitioners, researchers, social change agents, and students interested in the intersections between race, ethnicity, social class, gender, sexual orientation, and religious affiliation in psychology and education.
 
This year`s theme, "Honoring Our Legacy, and Empowering Future Leaders", celebrates the 30 years of accomplishments, while beholding the promise of future advancements by leaders in the fields of cultural psychology and education. 
 
The conference will emphasize research and interventions in community, school, and family settings, as well as individual development, regarding a wide range of topics, including language, literacy, access, wellness, cultural values, and experiences with oppression and discrimination.
 
"We are excited to be invited to participate in exhibiting our books for the first time at this year`s Teachers College Winter Roundtable at Columbia University. Although our authors are not attending in person, we feel privileged offer a small contribution to this landmark 30^th anniversary conference," says Victor Volkman, publisher of the Loving Healing Press.

The Winter Roundtable`s legacy in honoring significant and promising research, practice, and training innovations in cultural psychology and education will include five highlighted conference features:

"This is a great opportunity to provide teachers and professors with the critical resources needed to raise awareness among their students of homelessness issues, people`s stories, and innovative approaches to outreach services and housing alternatives," says Jay S. Levy, author of Homeless Narratives Pretreatment Pathways: From Words to Housing, which is one of the Loving Healing Press titles to be exhibited at the conference.

"My book Homeless Narratives Pretreatment Pathways integrates practice and theory with the latest research on how to provide quality services to long-term homeless individuals," Levy tells, This book demonstrates best practices and serves as a manual for outreach clinicians, housing first staff, and homelessness policy makers. This will hopefully facilitate the development of new programs, improved service delivery and better outcomes resulting in the most vulnerable among us finding a pathway to housing and future stability. This conference provides the opportunity to interest students (potential future leaders) in addressing homelessness and coming up with creative solutions.

Cyber Bullying No More, authored by Holli Kenley is another notable book to be exhibited at the conference. Kenley`s research and writings provide a pathway for all individuals to flourish in their respective relationships with their technology while being mindful of erosive influences such as moral disengagement. An active blogger on issues relating bullying and modern parenting needs, Kenley`s work if focused on the dependence upon electronic devices for communication and interaction  which has been on a rise with documented studies of a decline in both affective and cognitive empathy in subjects. She believes that increased awareness can lead to a collective call for change in both psychological and educational communities.
