BHSU crowns 2013 Swarm Week Royalty

SPEARFISH | Cody Powers, physical education major from Wheatland, Wyo., and Alyssa Niesen, psychology major from Milbank, were crowned the 2013 Swarm Week king and queen at Black Hills State University Thursday night.

Also part of the royal court were homecoming king candidates: Brandon Huffman, exercise science–management major from Spearfish; John Erdahl, art education major from Ten Sleep, Wyo.; and Patrick MacLanders, psychology major from Hill City.

Candidates for homecoming queen include: Alyssa Terry, mass communication major from Rozet, Wyo.; Nora Gale, human services major from Belle Fourche; and Taarna Murray, psychology major from Custer.

Due to weather conditions, all homecoming events for Friday, Oct. 4, were cancelled.
