The annual Plus Two practical examinations began in Odisha this morning.

Sources in the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) , the Science practical examination began at 10 AM.

As per the directive of the CHSE, the Science practical examination would continue till February 9.

The Council has directed the college authorities to conduct the practical examinations in the Arts stream like Education and Psychology from 10 AM to 4 PM by February 9.

To monitor the practical examinations, the Council has formed a central squad for the first time from this year which will have a surprise visit to the colleges and report to the concerned authorities if it finds any irregularities in the examinations.

Apart from this, the Council has made mandatory provisions for installation of CCTV cameras in the practical examination halls of all private and residential colleges this year. It has also directed the authorities of these colleges to submit the CCTV footage on practical examinations failing which the results would be withheld.

The Council has dispatched question and answer sheets, list of external examiners and admit cards to all colleges for the practical examinations.

It may be mentioned that the Council had earlier announced the conduct of practical examinations from January 27 to February 2.

However, following the death of a senior clerk of the Council in a road accident on January 23, the Council later rescheduled the examination from February 2 to 9.

The theory examinations for Science, Arts and Commerce would start from March 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
