Algeria coach Vahid Halilhodzic says his team is psychologically stronger than their adversary Burkina Faso for the World Cup playoff return leg.

The Fennec Foxes lost 3-2 to the Stallions last month but the Bosnian coach believes his side have all the chances to overturn that score and win a place at the Brazil 2014.

Halilhodzic acknowledges the strength and high level of discipline within the Burkinabe set up but lists psychological advantage as their best weapon for next Tuesday’s clash.

“It’s true the pressure is more on us because we are hosting and our supporters will be here, but psychological we will be stronger than the Burkinabe who will not be coming with supporters,” Halilhodzic said on Friday.

“After conceding two goals on their home ground, they will be too scared of what will happen here. And that is what we’ll exploit, while keeping our defence as tough as possible as well.”

The match will take place in Blida on Tuesday.
