Catch up with Falkirk folk in far flung places

WHERE ARE YOU FROM ORIGINALLY? Banknock.

WHERE ARE YOU NOW? Guam, a tiny 30-mile long by eight-mile wide tropical island in the Pacific between Indonesia, Japan and the Phillipines, or North west of Australia.

WHY ARE YOU THERE? I came here to join my husband. He is in the Air Force and is American.

WHAT DO YOU DO? I’m at university and Psychology is my major. I also work at the base exchange to make some pocket money.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN THERE? Three years now and we are about to start our next adventure in October when we get shipped off to our next base.

FAMILY? Husband, my three dogs and two cats.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT WHERE YOU ARE NOW? I love the fact that it’s only a 10-minute drive to the beach and that it’s always warm. The people are so friendly here.

ANYTHING YOU DON’T LIKE? I don’t like that the speed limit is 35mph although I understand that it’s because most drivers acquired their licence from a Christmas cracker.

BIGGEST DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THERE AND HERE? The weather and the earthquakes.

WHAT DO YOU MISS MOST FROM HOME? My family, my friends and Irn Bru. Get exporting Barrs!

ANY MESSAGE FOR FAMILY AND OLD FRIENDS? When are you coming to visit?
