Alberta truck driver caused Washington State bridge collapse; 3 people rescued from Skagit River (with video)

In the cold of the early morning light, the enormity of the problem facing commuters after the collapse of the Skagit River bridge on the busy Interstate 5 corridor is just beginning to sink in.
Long marked on a national register as being structurally inadequate, the northernmost span of the bridge lays in a crumpled heap in the river, knocked down by an Alberta truck driver piloting an oversized rig.
