Women Ahead of Men in Multitasking: Research

ResearchAccording to a latest study, women are far better than men when it comes to multitasking. This study is not applicable to all the men and women, as exceptions are always there, but it is authentic for most of them.

According to the tests by UK psychologists, men are found to be slower and less organized between two or more tasks, as compared to the women.

Also according to the paper in the journal BMC Psychology, both men as well as women strive to cope up with their priorities, but men suffer more on an average. The paper poses a quest ion that, do men suffer while doing all types of multitasking, or only in some situations?

Co-author Dr. Gijsbert Stoet, of the University of Glasgow says that if men really are slower than women then this can lead to serious implications regarding how workplaces are organized.

Dr. Gijsbert Stoet said in a statement that multitasking is becoming very important in today's scenario and is very distracting during the working hours in the office, and it is quite possible that men suffer more from this kind of distraction.

The researchers hope to encourage more research and debate on this topic as it seems that this topic is attracting many other studies too.
