Woman completes psychology college exam while in labour

Tommitrise-Collins

Labor can take a while, which is why it’s good to try to find something that can keep your attention off the pain.

Tommitrise Collins completed the paper in one-and-a-half hours and during three-minute contractions at the Coliseum Medical Centre last week.

While doing so, her sister Shanell Chapman took a picture of the full-of-focus mom-to-be that has since gone viral.

The new mother told Fox 5: “She will always have me to depend on so my goals will not be put on hold”. Tyler Elise was born around 9 p.m. And if you were wondering, mom got a solid B on that exam. When she took the test she wasn’t on any medication. Shanell Brinkley-Chapman captioned a powerful Facebook photo of Tommitrise Collins sitting in a hospital bed with a laptop in front of her.

Brinkley-Chapman praised her sister for her hard work, while showing off the new addition to their family. She also passed the test but wasn’t happy with the grade and asked to take it again (after the delivery).

The 21-year-old said she wanted to enjoy life with her newborn, Tyler Elise, after the birth so chose to sit the exam during it. I think she’ll grow up to be just as determined as me’.

After roughly 20 hours of labour, Collins delivered a healthy baby girl in the evening.

“I want my child to live comfortably”.

Collins is working toward a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and is set to graduate next year.
