Wessex Branch military conference

As the British Army leaves Afghanistan today, it is a time for reflection. Inevitably there will be transitions to be negotiated.

Our Wessex Branch’s Annual Military Psychology Conference at the Defence Academy, Shrivenham, will focus on these transitions from the perspective of different stakeholders. The Conference will open with a talk by Brigadier Maurice Sheen who oversaw the development and training of Afghan Army Officers and the different psychological adaptation needed by the British Army to deliver this training.

'The Psychological Well-being of the Military in Transition' takes places on 5 and 6 November 2014. It is being organised in collaboration with the Joint Stress and Resilience Centre, part of the College of Management and Technology based at the Defence Academy.

There are still a few places available at this conference, but the last day of registration will be Wednesday 29 October.
