WALLA WALLA — Walla Walla General Hospital will host a Spiritual Care symposium featuring Kenneth Pargament, a professor of psychology at Bowling Green State University.
Deadline to register for the Jan. 17 event is Jan. 14. Cost is $25.
Pargament’s 9 a.m.-7 p.m. workshop, “Understanding and Addressing Spirituality in Our Helping Professions,” addresses how religion and spirituality fits into both science and the helping professions. Among his accomplishments, Pargament is editor-in-chief of the American Psychological Association Handbook of Psychology, Religion, and Spirituality.
The workshop will be at 1025 S. Second Ave. in Walla Walla.
A free presentation on a related topic will be at 7 p.m. Jan. 16 at Pioneer United Methodist Church, 209 E. Birch St.
