WALK IN INTERVIEW

It is proposed to fill up the following Group ‘A’ ‘B’ posts at Central Institute of Psychiatry, Kanke, Ranchi on contract basis for a period of one year or till the post is filled up on regular basis whichever is earlier. Accordingly applications are invited from the desirous candidates. Applications on plain paper either
typed or handwritten along with bio-data two passport size photograph, photocopy of the certificates of educational qualification, experience etc., may be submitted to the undersigned before 21.10.2013.

After submission of application candidates have to turn up alongwith their original certificates on the date of interview. No interview letter will be issued separately. In deserving cases age and experience criteria may be relaxed and even retired person upto the age of 62 years may be allowed to appear for interview. Experience in private sector may also be considered.

The interview shall be held at Central Institute of Psychiatry, Kanke, Ranchi-834006, Jharkhand,
on 21.10.2013 at 09.30 a.m.

I. Essential Qualifications for posts at Sl.No.1: (Asst. Prof. of Clinical Psychology)
1. Masters Degree in Psychology of a recognized University or equivalent.
2. M.Phil (Medical Social Psychology or Clinical Psychology) or Diploma in Medical Social Psychology
(2 years course) from a recognized Institution or equivalent.
3. 2 years teaching/research experience as Clinical Psychologist in a Psychiatric Hospital, Psychiatric Clinic, Child Guidance Clinic or Department of Psychiatry in a General Hospital.

(The essential 2 years teaching/research experience as Clinical Psychologist in a Psychiatric Hospital,
Psychiatric Clinic, Child Guidance Clinic or Department of Psychiatry in a General Hospital may be relaxed to
no experience as essential qualification at the discretion of Selection Committee if a person is found
otherwise suitable).

Desirable:
1. Ph.D in Clinical Psychology.
2. Research/published work in Indexed journals.
II. Essential Qualifications for posts at Sl.No.2: (Asst. Prof. of Psychiatric Social Work)
(i) Master/s Degree in Social Work / Sociology / Applied Sociology from a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii) Diploma or M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work from a recognized Institution.
(iii) 2 years teaching/research experience as a Psychiatric Social Worker in a Mental Hospital, Child Guidance Clinic or Psychiatric Department of a General Hospital.

(The essential 2 years teaching/research experience as a Psychiatric Social Worker in a Mental Hospital,
Child Guidance Clinic or Psychiatric Department of a General Hospital shall be relaxed to no experience
as essential qualification at the discretion of the Selection Committee if a person is found otherwise
suitable).

III. Essential Qualifications for posts at Sl.No.3: (Clinical Psycholgist)
(i) Masters degree in Psychology of recognized university or equivalent qualification.
(ii) M.Phil (Medical and Social Psychology or Clinical Psychology) or Diploma in Medical Social Psychology (2 years course) of recognized institution.
(iii) 2 years experience as Clinical Psychologist in a Mental Hospital, Child Guidance Clinic or Psychiatric Deptt. of a General Hospital or as a teacher or research worker in the field of Clinical Psychology.

(The essential 2 years experience as Clinical Psychologist in a Mental Hospital, Child Guidance Clinic or
Psychiatric Deptt. of a General Hospital or as a teacher or research worker in the field of Clinical
Psychology shall be relaxed to no experience as essential qualification at the discretion of Selection
Committee if a person is found otherwise suitable).

Desirable:
(i) Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology
(ii) Research Experience.
(iii) Conversant with Modern Techniques of Testing and Counseling.
(iv) Knowledge of Hindi and/or Bengali.
