Valuing a company

Question

I have a question relating to the Special Report 'The Investing Psychology Counsellor'. Firstly, well written article. I found the concept of individuals anchoring themselves to prices quite evident in my own personal experiences. When valuing a business, how does one do so? I suppose determining a company's instrinsic value is the hard part. Having almost no accounting experience, how does one (a beginner), learn to value a company? Thus, enabling us to determine when to "SELL", "HOLD", or "BUY" subject to its current SP vs instrinsic value? Can you point me in the right direction to learning how to value a company? Thanks.
