University of Houston-Clear Lake welcomes new women’s studies faculty

University of Houston-Clear Lake recently welcomed four new assistant professors to its women's studies program.

According to a press release, the new faculty members include assistant professor of sociology and women's studies Jennifer Arney, assistant professor of psychology Desdemona Rios, assistant professor of literature Anne Marcoline and assistant professor of sociology and women's studies Amy Lucas.

"The women's studies program faculty is thrilled to have four new faculty members joining our community at UH-Clear Lake," said Kim Case, associate professor of women's studies and psychology, in the release. "Their presence strengthens the program's interdisciplinary approach by integrating new perspectives from literature, sociology and psychology."

Arney specializes in medical sociology, Rios specializes in social psychology and women's studies, Marcoline specializes in feminist literature with an interest in interdisciplinary study of gender dynamics and Lucas specializes in family studies with a focus on the quality and dynamics of young adult's romantic relationships.
