UMW psychology professor to talk about abusive relationships on public radio

This weekend Mindy Erchull, associate professor of psychology at the University of Mary Washington, will discuss her research on the connections between female jealousy and abusive relationships on the public radio show “With Good Reason,” according to a university release.

The show, “A Jealous Kind of Love,” will air Saturday, April 26.

During the show, Erchull will share findings from a recent survey that suggest women who see jealousy as a positive thing may be more likely to find themselves in abusive relationships.

The program also will feature commentary from instructors at several other Virginia institutions, including George Mason University and the University of Virginia.

The program can be found online after airing here.

“With Good Reason” is a program of the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities. The show airs weekly in Fredericksburg on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Radio IQ 88.3 Digital.
