Monday night’s “The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All” special it going to be arranged into a series of different segments, and you can read a whole lot into them just by the way in which they are arranged. For example, people who are serious “Bachelor” contenders or fan favorites will get discussions about their relationship with the leading lady and how they put themselves out there. If you are JJ Lane, you get asked questions about your “bromance” with Clint Arlis.
Here is what we find particularly funny about watching this whole scene below, via TV Guide: JJ is really taking all of this remarkably seriously, and you can tell that he wishes that some other people did the same exact thing. He’s really trying to explain that he was there to get to know Kaitlyn Bristowe, and the majority of what he and Clint talked about was her.
Yet, everyone else seems pretty content to make it into a joke. He even challenges Joe to come up to the hot seat and he says “no.” Ultimately, we think JJ was just a guy who was way too intense about the whole thing for better or for worse, and that made him polarizing in the house and at times caused him to have some trouble connecting. Did he put himself out there? Sure, but that doesn’t always amount to much.
Well, he’ll probably get another chance on “Bachelor in Paradise.” He’s just going to have an uphill battle since not everyone is going to be taking an immediate interest in him; typically, people with good edits are gravitated to the most.
