Here's hoping that the June 6 editorial "Time To Take Down The POW-MIA Flags" [courantopinion.com] was a well-measured reverse psychological ploy.
It was not well received by many Vietnam veterans who have not given up on having their brothers missing in that conflict returned. If, instead of reverse psychology, the editorial was sincere, thanks anyway -- for it has surely fired up people and renewed emotions and interest in returning those who were left behind, abandoned in place.
