Take Me Out student says show was most ‘humiliating experience’ EVER

A student who went on Take Me Out to enjoy a break from her dissertation, has hinted she bagged a date - but it was the most "humiliating experience" of her life.

Naomi Armstrong is a third year Psychology student at Exeter University, and applied for Paddy McGuinness' show never expecting to be chosen.

When she was asked to do a Skype interview, and later chosen to take part as one of "Paddy's Flirty Thirty", she described how she was over the moon - writing in a first person piece for student newspaper the Exeter Tab.

She wrote: "I thought flirting on national television would be the perfect excuse to take a couple weeks break from the dissertation."

Having joined the show later on, most of the girls were already close, but Naomi said she soon mingled and the experience was a "dream" - from constant pampering, to laughs and socialising throughout.

Naomi added that she'd made good friends backstage, and wrote: "All of the girls stay in contact on Facebook and WhatsApp (it’s the most annoying WhatsApp group ever-literally 200 messages every half an hour).

"We had our hair and make up done professionally, so most of the day would consist of lounging around in our dressing gowns and being pampered."

What IS surprising though is hardly any of it is staged, she reports, and actually - the girls think of those cringe one-liners on the spot. WHAT?

She added: "It was definitely one of the best experiences of my life."

Naomi couldn't reveal if she got a date, but wrote: "If I did get a date, the date itself would probably have been the most embarrassing, awkward and humiliating thing I have ever done. But this is all hypothetical, obviously."

Obviously.

Opening up about the notoriously funny host, the youngster added: "Paddy was hilarious on camera and off. In fact, he’d often make a few more inappropriate jokes off camera. There are plenty of innuendos and funny moments, but I don’t want to spoil anything.

"Often you get really carried away with the cheesy lines and end up regretting your words as soon as they leave your mouth."
