VERNON, N.Y. (WKTV) - The SUNYIT student psychology and sociology clubs organized a benefit for ALS of Utica Friday night. The local organization helps patients battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
The dinner featured music, raffles, magicians and a tarot card reader.
Students also recognized Dr. Theodore Max for his support of SUNYIT and the local community.
"We decided this year we should spread the wealth a little and stray from our previous organizations we've helped and help the community as much as we could by supporting a new organization," says SUNYIT Senior Jeremy Skiechs.
