Stephen Foster of Livonia presented an original project titled “Facts, Misconceptions and the State of Psychology” at Albion College’s Elkin R. Isaac Research Symposium. Foster is majoring in Spanish and psychology and is a member of the Prentiss M. Brown Honors Program. He is the son of Daniel and Dina Foster of Livonia and a graduate of Churchill High School.

Elizabeth Curbey of Redford was named to the Fall 2013 Dean’s List at Ball State University.

The following local students were named to Alma College Dean’s List for outstanding academic performance during the 2013 Fall Term: Livonia: Ava Dark, Adam Ferrara, Jamie Otter and Cory Townes. Redford: Emily Kirby, Robert Rankin, Michelle Sandelin.

Michaelene Sartori graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan A. Alfred Taubman School of Architecture and Urban Planning. She was a finalist in the prestigious Wallenberg studio symposium. Sartori is the daughter of Anthony and Dr. Margaret Sartori of Livonia.

Lauren Daniels, a graduate of Ladywood High School in Livonia, received a Ballard Family Endowed Scholarship in Art Art History at Albion College's annual Honors Convocation. Lauren Daniels is majoring in art. She is the daughter of David and Donna Daniels of Westland .Hannah Schultz of Livonia received a Ballard Family Endowed Scholarship in Art Art History at Albion College's annual Honors Convocation. Schultz is majoring in art. She is the daughter of Eric and Marcy Schultz of Livonia and a graduate of Dearborn Divine Child High School.

Adrienne Plourde of Livonia was among the top five graduating seniors with the highest grade point average at Olivet College. She was presented with The Donald A. Morris Award at the school’s annual Honors Convocation.

Dominic Hottmann of Livonia was one of 174 adults with disabilities from throughout the state to graduate from The Michigan Career and Technical Institute in Barry County after receiving vocational training in 14 career areas. Hottmann’s training was in custodial services. The MCTI is operated by Michigan Rehabilitation Services within the Michigan Department of Human Services.

Barbara Scupholm of Livonia is a National Merit $2,500 scholarship winner, one of 2,500 Merit Scholar designees chosen from a pool of more than 15,000 finalists in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program. She is a student at Stevenson High School, Livonia.
