‘Stress, Eating, and Biobehavioral Effects of Low-Calorie Dieting’

The Chip fall lecture series continues Thursday, September 24, 2015. with Janet Tomiyama Ph.D speaking on “Stress, Eating, and Biobehavioral Effects of Low-Calorie Dieting”

Dr. Tomiyama received her BA in Psychology from Cornell University, and in 2009 obtained her Masters and Ph.D. from UCLA in Social Psychology with concentrations in Health Psychology and Quantitative Psychology. She was then a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health and Society Scholar jointly at UCSF and UC Berkeley, and is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at UCLA. Her work, which has been recognized by the Society for Behavioral Medicine Early Career award among others, focuses on the biobehavioral consequences of stress, dieting, and weight stigma.
