SPRINGFIELD — A psychology practice is facing a lawsuit over allegations that it revealed confidential patient information in public documents, according to a New York Times report.

A patient is accusing Short Hills Associates in Clinical Psychology — which has offices in Springfield and Mendham — of filing dozens of collections lawsuits against patients and including their names, diagnoses and treatments, according to the report.

The patient is suing Short Hills managing partner Barry Helfmann and his partners for invasion of privacy, breach of the psychologist-patient privilege, fraud and misrepresentation, and other claims, the report says.
