John Lyng
and Megan Savolainen
Susan and Richard Savolainen of Lake Elmo, Minn., and Myrna and Merwin Lyng of Mayville, N.D., announce the engagement of their children, Megan Savolainen and John Lyng.
Megan is a graduate of Memorial High School. She has a bachelor's degree in psychology and management studies from St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minn., and a master's degree in organizational psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, San Francisco. She is a change management lead on HR technology implementation at Target Headquarters, Minneapolis.
John has a degree from the University of North Dakota Medical School, Grand Forks, and completed his residency in disaster medicine at SUNY Upstate, Syracuse, N.Y. He is an emergency physician and medical director of emergency medical services at North Memorial Medical Center, Robbinsdale, Minn.
A Sept. 14 wedding in Minneapolis is planned.
