River North psych school hires new president
19-Dec-12 The Chicago School of Professional Psychology has hired a new president of its downtown campus across Wells Street from Merchandise Mart. The non-profit, private graduate school points out that Dr. Patricia Arredondo is their first president of Latin American descent.
A licensed psychologist, Dr. Arredondo (left) was formerly an associate vice chancellor and professor of educational psychology at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
Dr. Michele Nealon-Woods, the schools national president said on Tuesday that Dr. Arredondo brings academic and entrepreneurial expertise in addition to multicultural acumen and social advocacy that this leadership role demands as we move the institution and the field of psychology forward.
More than 4,300 students attend The Chicago School of Professional Psychology on campuses in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C.
