The Opportunity

The Centre for Developmental Psychiatry and Psychology is seeking to appoint a dynamic individual, to work as part of a team as a Research Assistant

The Research Assistant will be part of a large NHMRC funded Program Grant, Mental Health of Young People with Developmental Disabilities. This is a collaborative program of research across Monash University, the University of Sydney, and the University of Queensland. One of the core aims of this research program is to evaluate the effectiveness of a parent training intervention to address behaviour and emotional problems in children with developmental disabilities (Stepping Stones Triple P) across three states. 

As the successful applicants, your responsibilities will include recruitment and testing, preparation of study materials, liaison with practitioners and service providers implementing intervention programs, data entry and record keeping, assistance with data analysis, preparation of results for presentation and publication, general administrative duties, liaising with other team members and reporting to the investigators on study progress.

You will have an honours degree in a relevant area such as psychology, speech pathology, special/early education and have relevant work experience.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
