Professor of Psychology and Head of School

The University of Tasmania is seeking to appoint an outstanding individual as Professor and Head of School of Psychology to provide academic leadership in teaching, research and research training and serve as Head of School for a five year period.

To be considered for this role you will be an internationally recognised researcher with a proven track record of publications, building partnerships, funding and supervision and an inspirational leader with the capacity to enhance research activity and strengthen the School’s core research preferably in one or more of the following research themes: Health and Ageing; Human Neuroscience; Developmental Psychology and Psychopathology; and Community and Environmental Psychology.
With broad experience and demonstrated excellence in University-based teaching and learning you will bring expertise, enthusiasm and team leadership skills to the management of an integrated teaching and research effort within the School. You will actively promote education in the discipline of psychology, postgraduate professional training and research, and foster close and effective relationships across all sectors, both nationally and internationally.

The position is located in Hobart and travel to other campuses is required.
