NASHUA, N.H. (AP) — Rivier University in Nashua will be the first school in New Hampshire and one of only a few in the country to offer a combined doctoral program in counseling and school psychology.

University officials say there are only eight other similar programs in other states. The new degree program will provide individuals who already hold a master's degree in counseling or school psychology to obtain advanced training in those fields.

This will be second doctoral program at Rivier, which introduced a doctorate of education in leadership and learning in 2008.
