In a widely heralded new book, “The Ten Disciplines of Leadership,” authors Richard A. Jacobs and Charles B. Dygert contend that the ability to achieve is not the result of mastering one particular discipline. Rather, it is the art of understanding, applying, and balancing several skill sets and knowledge.
For example, the book addresses the use of Psychology in dealing with difficult team members, Sociology in organizational structure, Philosophy (personal) incorporated in a business plan, and Geography as it relates to markets.
