Huntington University this fall will begin offering bachelor’s degree programs in psychology, social work and criminal justice for adult students at its main campus and Fort Wayne and Columbia City locations.

In an announcement, the university said classes will be held in the evenings and available online.

Adult students in the psychology bachelor’s degree program will study human development, interpersonal relationships and abnormal psychology. The program will prepare them for entry-level employment or graduate study.

The social-work program will mix classes with hands-on field work, preparing students to obtain entry-level positions, enter graduate school and to be licensed in all 50 states.

Students in the criminal-justice program will learn about corrections, juvenile justice law, criminology, addictions and public policy.

“At Huntington University, we understand the demands on adult students so we offer a variety of courses at convenient times as well as online to meet their needs,” Julie Goetz, associate director of professional programs, said in the announcement.
