Katie Nelson of St. Paul and Eric Holter of St. Louis Park are engaged to be married Jan. 7 in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico.
Nelson is the daughter of Dave and Diane Nelson of Annandale.
She is a 2005 graduate of Paynesville High School and a 2009 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter with a major in psychology. She is pursuing her doctorate of clinical psychology from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology at Argosy Twin Cities in Eagan.
Holter is the son of Loren and Betty Holter of Willmar.
He is a 2003 graduate of Willmar Senior High School and a 2007 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College with a major in financial economics. He is employed by Michael Foods Inc. in Minnetonka as a financial analyst.
