BETHESDA, MD, December 22, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Winter is here, the holidays are upon us and some of us are anxiously awaiting the start of the New Year. The holiday season and the beginning of the New Year can be a stressful and hectic time for many people. According to the American Psychological Association, nearly half of all women in the United States experience heightened stress during the holidays, which puts their health at risk. In an article written by Connie Bennett for Psychology Today, the author offers taking a breather as one of seven tips for reducing stress during the frantic pace of the holiday season.

Mozella Perry Ademiluyi, poet, writer, storyteller and founder of Love Is A Mountain (LIAM) Retreats will present two retreats that focus on renewal and harnessing the power of your story to create the life you intend for 2012. Mozella, who climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for her 50th birthday has become a successful guide to personal growth, development and self-expression.

The first of two retreats will be held on January 14, 2012 at the Rockwood Manor in Potomac, MD, an environment in which new directions will be artfully discussed and presented through exploring literal and metaphorical storytelling. Sharon Gleason, a Girl Scout executive who has attended two LIAM retreats adds, "With a busy life, I do not take a lot of time to retreat and to reflect and create intentions for what I am going to do. Both of the retreats [that I attended] gave me an opportunity to do that in beautiful settings with amazing women who have rich experiences." Mozella will be joined by Empowerment Coach Lisa Geddings, Transition Coach Barbara Beizer and Movement Arts Master June Idrissa.

The second retreat will be held in the picturesque Ngong Hills of Kenya on February 24-26, 2012. (This Kenyan Discover the Power of Your StoryTM retreat is the beautiful landscape portrayed in Karen Blixen's story - "Out of Africa".) Mozella choreographs both retreats to move through the perfect combination of shared adventures, storytelling and reflection.
