Kristine Henry has been an editor in The Baltimore Sun's features department, handling coverage of food and families, since February 2013 and is the editor of the Maryland Family magazine. She was a business-news reporter at the Sun from 1998 until 2002 when she had her first child and took what she now refers to as a very extended maternity leave. Along the way she was the communications director of a local non-profit and did extensive freelance writing.

Kris grew up in Minneapolis and has a degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota. She lives in Towson with her husband, son (10), daughter (7), and Yorkiepoo (21 dog years).

Jennifer Broadwater is editor of the Baltimore Sun Media Group's Howard Magazine and Harford Magazine, as well as managing editor of Maryland Family magazine.

In 2012, she took on her most exhilarating job title yet -- mommy -- when Danielle was born. When she's not busy wordsmithing or chasing-Dani-chasing-the-cat down the hallway, she enjoys baking elaborate birthday cakes for her niece and nephews and trying to keep up with her husband on jogs around Centennial Lake.

As an Army brat, Jennifer grew up all over the U.S. But she considers Howard County home. She is a graduate of James Madison University.
