Mesa Native Promoted to Associate Professor at St. Mary’s College of Maryland

ST. MARY'S CITY, MD (06/14/2013)(readMedia)-- St. Mary's College of Maryland announces that Roger Stanton, native of Mesa, AZ, has been reappointed with tenure and promoted to Associate Professor of Psychology. Stanton joined the St. Mary's faculty in 2007. He holds a Ph.D. in cognitive science and psychology from Indiana University. He teaches courses in cognitive psychology, psychological statistics, and a first-year seminar on human, robot, and cyborg minds. He has presented research with his students at numerous psychological conferences and has eight articles published in the Journal of Experimental Psychology and Memory  Cognition.

St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
