Merger between a&dc and BBP gives HR access to world class talent management strategies

Assessment and Development Consultants (adc), leaders in behavioural assessment and development, and Burnham Business Psychology (BBP), experts in occupational psychology, are merging to combine their respective strengths and consequently offer cutting-edge assessment processes.

Boasting a new offering of one of the world’s widest ranges of behavioural assessment processes, the newly formed alliance will help its clients maintain their competitive edge through industry leading recruitment strategy and talent metrics.

On top of revising candidate selection methods, their new offering will include behavioural development at all levels of their clients’ firms as well as managerial and leadership development initiatives to aid with succession planning and retention.

The joint offering provides bespoke and ready-to-use online, paper based and face-to-face products and services on their clients’ sites or within their own assessment centres.

Nigel Povah, CEO of adc, has commented:

“We are delighted to announce this merger with BBP, which is an expert within its field of psychological assessment. By integrating our organisations, we will now be offering a wider portfolio of cutting-edge products, of which we are both very proud.”

“With CIPD estimates placing the average cost to businesses of successfully filling a vacancy at between £8,200, and £12,000, hiring strategy is once again firmly on the boardroom agenda. Needless to mention, the value of wrong hires or selecting candidates who are not the right fit can have a huge impact on the organisation’s profitability, as well as its levels of productivity and morale. By fine-tuning methods of candidate selection by implementing successful methods of assessment, as well as developing employees internally for managerial roles, businesses can be much more secure in their recruitment choices. This is an issue close to the hearts of both of our organisations, and we look forward to working together in the future.”

Peter Burnham, director of BBP, has commented:

“All of us at BBP are excited by this merger; we are pioneering an avenue of integrated assessment and development solutions that will revolutionise the market.”

“A huge part of our vision is not only to ensure that we aid business decisions by providing accurate and relevant data, but that we immerse each and every candidate in an excellent experience which turns them into advocates of our clients, whatever the outcome of their application. We aim to do this for those who embark on our management development programmes too, providing an outlet for them to learn and contributing to solid succession planning strategies for their outfits. Not only do we routinely boost the long-term success of these employees, we also play a part in future candidate attraction through our engaging and innovative services. We are eagerly looking forward to a successful 2016 with our new business partners.”
