McCombs is commissioned as United States Air Force second lieutenant

Marlborough – Kevin Vincent McCombs recently graduated from Boston College, with a bachelor of arts in psychology, magna cum laude.  He was inducted into the PSI CHI International Honor Society in Psychology.

Kevin was also commissioned as a second lieutenant the United States Air Force, after completing four years in the Air Force ROTC program at Boston University.  Kevin was awarded the Top Pilot Candidate award for his ROTC Detachment 355, “Flying Tigers.” In September he will report to Sheppard Air Force base in Texas for Euro/NATO fighter pilot training.  Kevin was a cadet in the Civil Air Patrol out of the Marlborough Airport during his middle School and high school years.  He is a graduate of Marlborough High School.

Kevin is the son of Mike and Carol McCombs of Marlborough. He follows into the military, his late grandfather, Vincent McCombs Sr., who fought on Okinawa and Saipan during the Pacific campaign of World War II.
