Not all men are created equal. Casanova, for instance, the notorious lover of women not his wife, was a man of greater endowment than many. Indeed, according to John Manning in his book Digit Ratio, Giacomo Casanova was probably possessed of a ring finger disproportionately longer than his index finger. What did you think I was talking about?

Finger length is similar to much of the rest of our bodies in showing sometimes striking variation from person to person. Some of us have long “artistic” fingers and others stubby bananas.
